Together, We’re Winning Awards!

How Liverpool Neighbourhood Connections is Leading in Social Enterprise.

At Liverpool Neighbourhood Connections (LNC), our motto is: ‘Together, We’re Strong.’ It’s an attitude that we bring to all of our grassroots programs, which not only provide direct relief from poverty but give people the tools they need to create bright futures.

It has proved a strategy for success. Over the past ten years we’ve won numerous awards; for everything from our social enterprises to our staff. From our youth programs and accessible childcare to centres and outreach, we believe that everyone deserves to thrive.

Providing Safe Spaces and Inclusive Programs

LNC’s award-winning Peppers’ Place Cafe started as a place for disadvantaged women to gain employment and has been the catalyst for a diverse mix of programs which empower people through skills.

Over the past seven years our CEO Pat Hall has worked in partnership with the Sydney Community Foundation and its Sydney Women’s Fund philanthropy community to expand this single social enterprise cafe into seven distinct profit-for-purpose businesses.

Our centres throughout the Liverpool LGA are also a place for people to gather, forge new connections and find the support they need to grow.

CEO Pat Hall: A Career Spent Working Towards Better Futures

Our CEO Pat Hall has personally received many awards, recognising the fierce dedication she has shown when it comes to improving lives in the Liverpool LGA.

Pat now oversees more than 50 programs per week, with approximately 20,000 clients and volunteers accessing services annually.

In 2020, Pat was awarded the Business Women of the West Award from Western Sydney University. Pat has also won the Westfield’s Local Heroes Award, the Zest Award for Outstanding Leadership, and been inducted into the Zest Hall of Fame.

In 2021, she is a Top 5 Finalist for the Third Sector CEO Awards.
